This subject takes the cave museum as the research object, builds a daylight museum for the caves in China that have not been completely preserved or have a certain degree of damage, and is not widely known. The light environment design of the stone statues is investigated, simulated and tested the light environment inside the cave. Through computer simulation, analysis and research are conducted to summarize the design quality and illuminance of light environment suitable for cave museum.
My site is located on the north side of Turpan, Xinjiang. The site is in the canyons of the two mountains, the internal height difference of the terrain is about 10 meters, and the total area is 3500 ㎡. The terrain goes south along the highway, followed by Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves, parking lot and local art museum. The only entrance to the terrain is the highway, passing through the Bezeklik Caves to enter the road terrain.
Museums function as venues for the exhibition, protection and collection of art works as well as for important cultural and artistic experiences. The light environment design of a museum significantly affects visitors' experiences and is closely associated with the spatial environment, display content and participation ways.
This study did a series of tests and verifications by dividing natural light into ambient light and direct light. The purpose is not only to provide the best exhibition illumination for the Cave Museum, but also to provide customers with a better sense of light experience. By designing a reflector for the skylight, the effective light environment of the exhibition space is improved, and the space tested and examined is substituted into the design.
