Attracting resources

한상규

The site is located between Namsan and Haebangchon. In the past, Haebang-chon was mostly populated with immigrants from other regions benefiting from the low living costs induced by the poor living conditions as a low hill area south-west of Namsan. Over the historical course of independence from imperial Japan, the Korean War, and industrialization, Haebang-chon grew as an illegal residence town flooded with returned migrants, North Korean refugees, and other evacuees, and further evolved into a multi-cultural area with people from agricultural regions.
This project is about to link to different section namsan and haebangchon. Namsan as a resource has potential power in tourism business, so the building has to attract peoples and send them to haebang-chon. As I mention haebangchon is getting isolate by the high slope terrain so using surrounding resources will be beneficial to both sectors.
